Lisa Dowst-Mayo graduated magma cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from the Caruth School of Dental Hygiene at Baylor College of Dentistry in 2002 and then graduated magna cum laude in 2016 with a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Ohio University. She is currently enrolled in a PhD program in healthcare administration with Franklin University. Lisa is a professor at Texas A&M University Health Science Center College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX in the dental hygiene department. She is authoring a dental textbook for Elsevier to be released Spring of 2022 entitled ‘Power Instrumentation for the Dental Professional’. She has published over 50 peer-review continuing education and articles since 2006 for Penn Well, RDH magazine, Canadian Dental Journal, Dental Economics, Dimensions of Dental Hygiene, and Access. She is an international speaker having taught over 200 continuing education courses to medical and dental healthcare professionals throughout the world.
